Your areas of responsibility
The role involves driving the development and performance of the production line for one of our paper machines (PM5). You lead through clear priorities, follow-up, and delegation, and work closely with key functions in production to ensure stable operations and continuous improvements.

Overall responsibility

  • You have overall responsibility for people’s safety and the line’s results.
  • You prioritise, decide, and delegate tasks based on deviations, resources, and competence.
  • You follow up to ensure that delegated tasks are carried out in accordance with applicable standards.
  • You identify improvement needs and propose investment actions for the line’s long-term development.
  • You ensure that the line team works in accordance with TPM principles and established ways of working.
  • You have overall responsibility for the line’s budget.

Protection & safety

  • Ensure compliance with Mondi’s 9 safety rules.
  • Ensure that the systematic work environment management (SAM) is followed on the line.
  • Contribute to a strong safety culture by acting on unsafe behaviours and reinforcing safe ways of working.

Sustainability – environment and energy

  • Ensure that the line’s operations meet environmental requirements, legislation, and internal policies.
  • Report deviations and drive preventive and corrective actions to reduce negative impact.

Employees and leadership

  • Lead and develop the line team towards greater independence (autonomous teams).
  • Identify and drive competence development within the team.
  • Ensure a good onboarding for new employees so that they quickly reach the right competence level.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

  • Holds an engineering degree, preferably in chemical or pulp and paper engineering.
  • Has leadership experience in production/industry and thrives with clear responsibility for results.
  • Works in a structured way with safety, work environment, and standardised ways of working.
  • Has the ability to drive improvements, create engagement, and develop teams.
  • Communicates clearly and collaborates well with different functions.
  • Has experience of, or an interest in, TPM or similar production systems.
